Lake Lure Water & Land Adventure

| Voted the most popular Mountain Kids Club day two years running! This day has all the activities necessary to turn your kids into seasoned outdoor veterans. Join our experienced Mountain Kids Club staff for a variety of well-supervised outdoor activities. Take the big plunge with the full day option, or break the day up and participate in either morning or afternoon activities only. You'll spend the morning getting wet by kayaking on Lake Lure & tubing behind the Lake Lure Adventure Company ski boat. After lunch, you'll travel by resort shuttle to Cedar Creek Stables and enjoy an afternoon of supervised outdoor activities including horseback riding, gem mining, and fishing. If that's not enough, at the end of the day you'll play in a miniature golf tournament before pick-up at the Wellness Center. Activity Levels: Kayaking -Beginner oriented. No experience necessary. Tubing – Please make sure your child is prepared for getting wet and understands that this is not a tubing trip on a river. Horseback Riding – all participants are required to wear a helmet and receive basic horse handling instruction. Fishing – Both Zebco push-and-cast and cane poles are available; we'll teach your kids to fish (catch and release only). This program is facilitated by Certified USA Water-Ski Instructors, Boat Captains, Equestrian Handlers, and Mountain Kids Club Staff. |

When, Where, & Cost

| Tuesday - Full Day Program: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cost is $80.00 per child. |
| Tuesday - Morning Program: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cost is $45.00 per child. |
| Tuesday - Afternoon Program: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cost is $45.00 per child. |
| Registration and drop-off no later than 15 minutes prior to session at the Wellness Center. Please call 828-694-3005 and check the schedule the night before to be prepared for morning arrival. Activities start promptly. Pick-up is promptly at 5:00 pm . An additional fee of $5 per 15 minutes will be assessed for late child pick-up. |

What to Bring:
|
|
Dress for the weather! We recommend that all participants come dressed in a bathing suit and T-shirt, wear Teva type river sandals with straps (no flip flops), and bring water bottle, towel, change of clothes, and shoes in a backpack. Jeans are recommended for the afternoon horseback riding segment of this program. Sunscreen and a hat are always recommended.
