Come play, watch and compete in the Lake Lure Olympiad. This annual, charitable, sports festival held each August in beautiful Lake Lure, North Carolina features a weekend of serious athletic competition and fun-filled events for the entire family.

Friday Events at Rumbling Bald Resort

• 8:00am  Golf Tournament & Golf Skills
• 9:00am  Pickleball Tournament
• 5:00pm  Pasta Dinner at Lakeview Restaurant
• 5:30pm  Barbeque on the Beach
• 6:00pm  Opening Ceremonies and Lighting of the Torch
• 6:15pm  1-Mile Family Fun Run
• 6:30pm  Lake Lure Ski Club Waterski Show
• 7:00pm  10K DAM RUN (leaves from Ingles)
• 7:00pm  FREE Ice Cream Sundaes
• 7:30pm  Family Games

• 8:00am  Triathlon (leaves from beach)  Course Maps
• 8:00am - 11:00am Junior Olympiad
• 8:00 - 9:00am Trout Stream Pool Swim
• 9:00am - 11:00am Basketball Shoot, Baseball Throw, 40-yard Dash, Obstacle Course, Standing Broad Jump
• 11:00am  BBQ on the Beach
• 11:00am   USMS 1-Mile & 2-Mile Open Water Swim Championship (leaves from beach)

Medals Ceremony to follow at the conclusion of each event.

Sunday Events at Chimney Rock State Park

• 7:30am  Race to the Rock - 25 mile bike (register at Old Rock Cafe)
• 7:45am  5K Run (register at Old Rock Cafe)
