BMW Zentrum Museum

Guests who are BMW enthusiasts may want to take an opportunity to visit the BMW zentrum Plant and Museum in nearby Greer South Carolina. In about an hours drive, you'll see the past, present and future of BMW come together in a one-of-a-kind building. See the cars, the speed, the innovation–all for free in the only BMW museum in North America. The Zentrum is more than just a museum; it's a meeting and events center, a cafe, a gallery and a history lesson–all wrapped into one ultimate experience. Located next to the only BMW manufacturing plant in the U.S., this unique place offers something for everyone.

In addition to the museum, guided tours of the plant are available for $7.00. A discount rate of $3.50 U.S. is available for students and BMWCCA members. (Entrance to the Zentrum is free.)

Tour Information

• Tour visitors must be 12 years of age or older.
• No high heels (heel and sole more than two inches high).
• No "spike" heels (minimum of 1 inch diameter across horizontal plane).
• No open toe or open heel shoes are permitted - shoes must be fully enclosed.
• If the plant is closed, no plant tours are available. See list to the right.
• Plant tours are available by reservation only (see number below).
• Plant tours are for a variety of groups, including schools, seniors, corporations, associations, etc.
• Tours cannot be booked more than 30 days in advance.
• It's a fascinating and extensive walk through the BMW plant so wear comfortable, fully enclosed walking shoes.
• Approximate tour length is one hour.
• No cameras or camera phones are allowed inside the plant.

Safety
Specific tour safety information will be addressed at the beginning of each tour; however, this is a working manufacturing plant and therefore all persons must pay attention to line movement and moving vehicles. Wear your tour headset and have the volume at a sufficient level so that you can hear the tour guide.

Driving Directions from Rumbling Bald Resort:

Turn Right at Resort Security gate, cross bridge and make a left turn on Buffalo Creek Road. Proceed 2.3 Miles.
Turn right on Bills Creek Road (#1008) and proceed 2 miles.
Turn right onto US Hwy. 64/74 A, proceed 2 1/2 miles to Hwy. 9.
Turn left onto Hwy. 9 and go 9 miles to intersection of Hwy 108.
Go right onto Hwy. 108 East and proceed 6 miles to Interstate 26
Follow I-26 East to Spartanburg,SC.
Take exit 18 A, I-85 south, Continue to exit 60.
Turn right at the top of the exit.
Turn left at the first light.
Follow signs to Zentrum Parking.
