This unit is a nice single or couples get-away. It is modern with a great bath and dressing area. The kitchen is adequate for one or two pot meals but rather cramped. You construct your sandwiches on the dining room table, but no problem. It has a nice screened back porch where I spent a lot of my time. The air conditioning works well, which I much appreciated because I was there during an incredibly hot spell. It is off the beaten path but close to a resort where you have privileges meaning everything from beach to golf to dining. The closest country store is about five miles away and town, with gas and restaurants and stuff, is only 10 miles away. For those of you who like mountain roads, and I'm one of those kinds of people, you have to drive some of them just to get there. Head towards Asheville - an hour away - and you have to go over a mountain. The down side, if you want something more than a great get-away with resort privileges - is that it is an hour away from Asheville. If you are a flat-lander like me, you can't expect to drive in to Asheville, have a great meal and a night on the town and expect to survive the drive back. The good thing is that you can rent this thing for a week and afford to drive to Asheville, get a room, have a great night, then drive back the next day after coffee and a great breakfast. Would I recommend this? Absolutely if this is what you are looking for. A great get-away. If you are looking for real mountains, I can recommend a number of places at three times the price. But then, you can Google them. Start with the Grove Park Inn. A weekend there and a spa treatment will only set you back one semester of your child's college education. Thiss place will relax you and won't cost much more than gas money to get there.
