We went to Rustic Roost for Labor Day weekend. The cabin was fantastic. We went with another family and we had 8 of us altogether. Plenty of space, bathrooms and fun things to do. The four girls ages 4-9 loved the two dogs that came to visit daily. The two Moms loved how everything was labeled and so easy to use. The view was amazing, and we will definitely be back. No detail was forgotten. Thanks to the owners for sharing your home!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon back in 2009, and I visit the site often just to look at the pictures! I loved this cabin and the scenery around it-- including the neighbor's dog! We can't wait to come back and bring our friends and family!

My entire family stayed here for Thanksgiving (Wed-Sun.) What a wonderful time we had. The house is absolutely perfect and has everything you could want. I worried about enough pots and pans and nothing was omitted in setting up the kitchen. My grandchildren (16,12,8&5) thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. The beds were wonderful and the baths was state of art. We walked in the woods, played with Barbara Jane (dog who lived up the mountain), played putt-putt and basketball. We enjoyed a lunch one day at Legends - a wonderful pizza. On Sunday we hated to leave. The view was wonderful and I hope to be able to return this summer. If you want a perfect vacation site - rent Rustic Roost!

I was little nervous about going to Lake Lure for Thanksgiving but I fell in love. This house is awesome because it has an open floor plan that makes you feel at home. I bet my children and I got into the hottub at least three times a day. My children loved Barbara Jane(neighbor's dog)!!!! We have plans to come back soon!

My family stayed here for a wedding. We booked at the last minute, as my husband was suddenly able to come and we decided to make a long weekend of it. Our stay was AWESOME. Our 2 yr old son got sick in the car, and we were so grateful for the washer/dryer!! Everything we needed was here! Beautiful views, great rooms, nice clean bathrooms. Just great!

No detail was overlooked! The cabin was wonderful!The whole cabin even has a back-up generator which came in handy one night! Our whole family spent Thanksgiving week there & couldn't have had a better time! The people at Rumbling Bald are so friendly & helpful. The kids loved the putt-putt golf. My hubby & I had a fabulous hot stone couple's massage! The Lakeview restaurant had an awesome Thanksgiving buffet dinner.

We had a great time here. Yes everything you need is here, it's just like being in your own home. Everything was spotless. Sometimes when you rent a vacation home you worry about what your going to find. Well not here ! Nothing was overlooked, they thought of everything. Only problem we had was popped circuit breaker due to lightning, but that was taken care of within minutes with a call to the office.

Me and a group of friends stayed here over the New Year's and had an absolutely wonderful time! This house has all the amentities--they did not miss a thing--I think I had hot tub withdrawal once I got back home. The staff at Rumbling Bald were great. They went above and beyond to help us with specific needs. I would definitely recommend to anyone to who wants to get away from the "world" a little bit!

I am easily irritated. So when I find nothing to complain about I am disappointed. Rustic Roost and Rumbling Bald were so beyond my my expectations that I am already thinking about how I can get back to Lake Lure and the Roost. Thanks Debbie and Thanks Rumbling Bald.
