Peaceful setting, great house for families/groups

Have stayed here a couple of times. There is a brook about 20 yards behind the house that adds a nice touch. Plenty of cookware in the kitchen. I noticed the house in next lot can be rented as well for additional lodging.

The Fowler House has not been well maintained

For the price, this home was not worth it. The house has not been well maintained. We found odor downstairs in the lower portion, and ants in kitchen. Back deck was unkept and it needs to be cleaned and pressure washed. Most beds were "rock" hard, especially the master bedroom. This property needs work. Though we liked Rubling Bald and Lake Lure, we will not stay at this home again. Gerry
