Lake Lure's Best Swimming Spots

What could be better on a hot summer day? Guests are invited to cool off at one of our three pool facilities or on our beautiful private sandy beach. We've taken care of everything your family needs to enjoy water activities all day long.

Trout Stream Pool & Lazy River

This family swimming pool complex features 2 outdoor pools, a sand volleyball court, restrooms, changing rooms and a snack bar with pizza, ice cream, Icee’s, sodas & hot dogs. Enjoy covered seating with fans or stretch out in a lounge chair and soak up the rays. Starting in 2013 the Trout Stream Pool opens on weekends from 9am - 7pm (5/11 - 5/12, 5/18 - 5/19) and is open for the seaon daily 9am - 9pm (5/24 - 8/18). Starting 8/19 - 9/2 Pool hours are 9am - 7pm (Sunday - Thursday) & 9am - 9pm (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) NOTE: Inner tubes are for sale at concession stand and are required for The Lazy River. You are welcome to bring your own inner tube. Small coolers are allowed, but no outside alcohol or glassware. Adult only swim 9 - 10am.

The Beach

Our sandy beach on Lake Lure is open for swimming every day from sun-up to sunset. The swimming area is roped off; please stay within this area for your own safety. You will find outdoor grills, picnic tables and a children's playground at the beach, so plan to make a day of it. The beach closes at 11:00 pm.

Indoor Pool, Whirlpool, Steam Room & Sauna

The indoor pool at the Wellness Center is open daily, adult only swim from 7:30am - 10am, and family swimming until close.* Adult supervision is required at the indoor pool. For adults we offer a whirlpool, steam room and dry sauna. Towels are available for a $1.00 rental fee at the Wellness Center desk.
*Note: Children under 16 are not permitted to use the whirlpool, steam room and dry sauna.

Apple Valley Pool

Located off Winesap Blvd. near the Apple Valley Golf Course, Apple Valley Pool is open daily 9am - 8pm (5/1 - 9/2), and 9am - 7pm (9/3 - 9/30). This outdoor pool tends to be quieter and more adult friendly.

Water Gear

Guests may purchase inner tubes for the Lazy River at the Trout Stream Pool. We also offer a selection of water gear, swimwear, and pool items at the North Shore Cabana or Wellness Center shops.
