How she said yes!

Kyle: While on a trip to Chimney Rock we stopped at the lookout point which overlooks all of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure.  While there, I pulled out a leather bound journal with an old english family crest on the front. I handed Ashley the journal and began playing our song on my phone.

Ashley: I began turning the pages of the journal, which contained the lyrics of the song, in tune to the music until I came to a love letter.  The last sentence of the letter explained that the journal was a symbol of our love to document all of our new adventures and that those adventures began with a question...I turned the next page and read “Will you marry me?”

Kyle had drilled a hole through the book which held my ring in the center. I could barely contain my excitement as we made our way to the bottom of the mountain.  Kyle went on to explain that my ring is made from my mother’s engagement ring and sapphires from my grandmother’s earrings.  It also contains diamonds that have been passed down from generations of Kyle’s family. The gold that makes up the actual ring is comprised of jewelry from both mine and Kyle’s family. He has given me a new family heirloom which I will treasure forever.
